The third volume in the Aigua Viva series! is about to be published. This project created by Josep Joan i Marí, “Pep Xomeu” (texts) and Ramon Mayol (Photographs) explore the sales, the wells and springs of Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera. Edicions Aïllades will present the book next November.

The attack is the title of the book that will be discussed at the next meeting of the Santa Eulària des Riu Reading Club. A novel more enlightening than any essay. his actor, Mohamed Moulessehoul, former commander of the Algerian army, began his literary career with a female pseudonym, Yasmina Khadra, embodying the suffering of a generation displaced by extremism.

TRIBUTE TO THE POET MANEL MARÍ

Finally, the act of homage to the poet Manel Marí, will take place on friday 4 of September, a las 19:30 horas, with a short recital at the Pou bar in the port of Ibiza, where a plaque commemorating the 45 anniversary of his birth. Singer-songwriter Joan Murenu will perform some poems he has set to music.

A ‘estribot’ is a gloss, popular stanza, usually four very short verses. Rhymed songs that are part of the popular Ibiza songbook. His lyrics often include mocking references, satirical and even, erotic. In the past they were sung among neighbors and were designed to make people laugh and stood out for the ingenuity of their lyrics. For the ninth year, The stirrup contest has been launched. The term ends on 28 August 2020.
