SAN JOANT SONG CONTEST 2021

The Sant Joan song contest 2021 aimed at all people of legal age residing or born on the islands of Ibiza and Formentera, individually or in group. The lyrics of the song must be written in Catalan, standard or dialect and the theme is free.

The competition is promoted by the Institut d’Estudis Eivissencs (IEE) with the aim of promoting and energizing cultural activities in the Pitiusas. Faced with the current situation, wants to celebrate the Night of San Juan this year by offering the public of Ibiza and Formentera an exclusive song, unpublished and new; for this reason it announces the second edition of this contest, which this year has the collaboration of the Associació de musics d'Eivissa.

In the first edition of the Sant Joan song contest, the winning song was ‘Foguera’, of the Formentera Miquel Tur Torres. In this edition of the Sant Joan Song Contest, The term ends on 7 de mayo de 2021 and each contestant can submit up to a maximum of three songs. In a first phase, Participants will compose a demo of each song they submit to the contest. The winner and the two finalists will present, in the second phase, a definitive video clip of the song ready for the IEE to present it on the networks.

Characteristics of the songs submitted to the contest

All songs submitted must be original by the authors and unpublished. The songs must be presented in audio and lyrics format. The duration of the songs must be between 2 y 5 minutos.

Awards

The prize awarded to the winning song will be 1.000 €. Two finalist songs will be designated, who will receive a second prize of 500 € each.

Presentation of the songs

Participants must submit the lyrics in doc or pdf format and a demo of each song in mp3 or wav format for WeTransfer to the email address info@estudiseivissencs.cat until Friday 7 de mayo de 2021 , a las 24.00 h.
