WORLD THEATER DAY 2021
El WORLD THEATER DAY se celebra el 27 March of each year. Was created by International Theater Institute (YOU) at 1961 with the aim of making known what theater represents for culture worldwide. A good occasion to remember the launch of the FARSA contest of micro theater texts that Edicions Aïllades has underway.
The first time the WORLD THEATER DAY, the poet, French playwright and filmmaker Jean Cocteau delivered the famous International Message of the WORLD THEATER DAY. After, other prominent names followed like Arthur Miller, Laurence Olivier, Pablo Neruda, Richard Burton, Antonio Gala, Humberto Orsini, John Malkovich or Darío Fo.
Theater is a cultural movement that has global significance and unlike other performing arts, has the peculiarity of awakening true passions, feelings and emotions once the play begins.
The fARSA dramaturgy collection of Edicions Aïllades aims to present unpublished texts by our playwrights and playwrights. In this first call of the contest, that ends the 31 March 2021, the theatrical script must revolve around themes related to fruits and vegetables. With this proposal, we adhere to the commemoration of the resolution of the UN General Assembly that designates the year 2021 as the International Year of Fruits and Vegetables.
The selected texts will be awarded with the publication in the collection farce of dramaturgy of the seal EDICIONS AÏLLADES. Además, the best job will have an economic endowment of 300 euros. The pieces must be able to be represented in a small format by a maximum of three actors and must have a duration not exceeding the 15 minutos.
