AWARDS COMPETITION “fICTION”
During this May the awards ceremony of the tenth edition of the literary youth contest took place “fICTION, the adventure of creating stories”.
This contest is an initiative of the Association Media and Communication (FRIEND) with the aim of promoting reading and writing in Catalan among young people of the Catalan-speaking territories. AMIC represents more than three hundred publications on paper and digital.
The contest lasted from 11 October 2017 Until the 23 March 2018. The winners were announced during the five awards (Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Valencia and Barcelona). The contest consisted of fortnightly publication of a new chapter in history (a total of three chapters) by groups of students .
Of the more than 900 stories that were presented, the jury selected 168 groups as finishers: 35 groups in the Balearic Islands (54 estudiantes), 94 in Catalonia (154 students) y 39 In the Valencian community (62 estudiantes). Of the 54 students finalists in the Balearic, 14 They are of Eivissa.
The contest got a record participation 3.593 students between 14 y 18 years from different schools. They competed in Baleares 616 students. This participation is a milestone in the history of the contest.
The awards ceremony for the contest has taken place on each island, in Eivissa it was on Thursday 10 of May. The Minister of culture, Participation and Sports, Fanny Tur was responsible for the awards ceremony.
Norma Torres wins the award for Best Ibiza History of the literary contest “fICTION”
The student Norma Torres has won the award for Best Story Ibiza (“Justice“) of the literary contest “fICTION” of a total of 35 finalists stories in Baleares.
