POETRY IS THERAPEUTIC

Literature as a cure and therapy for some diseases.

I've always wondered what place art has in wartime, Are there professions more valuable than others? I am grateful because I have already realized that all the vocations in the world have their place and their function for the smallest, vulgar or extravagant that it seems to other people.

During the month of May 2020 the same thoughts came back to me. What place is there for soul poems?Is the saying true: "Not only on bread does the human live”?

With so many questions the answers began to arrive, like a news story where they talked about the therapeutic poetry and the project @inverses_c, whose members have seen fit to organize a page in Instagram to combine poems born during the state of alarm. This shows another of the practical functions of poetry: serves as an emotional testimony of the different eras.

Not only reading poetry suits the spirit, writing poetry is also rewarding. For it, The first thing we have to do is forget about prejudices and underestimations towards our person; we can all write about our feelings, experiences…

In this way I came to the conclusion that being a poet is any profession, like that of baker @ or seamstress @. Believe me, although it seems implausible, Right now there is someone in Spain whose profession is based on making and selling jugs and they are doing really well. Why not you, dear poet? So come on, take out pen and paper that for this sculpture of words you will not need a chisel.
