LITERARY PRESENTATION: La Mirada
This Thursday 16 July at 20:00 hours the book of poetry and photography is presented La Mirada de Andrés Ferrer Taberner. The act, presented by the cultural promoter Ramon Mayol takes place at Club Diario de Ibiza.
Andrés Ferrer Taberner was born in Valencia and has a special relationship with the island of Ibiza, where he spends long seasons since 20 years, in addition to writing a regular column in the Diario de Ibiza. You are a writer and historian. He has been professor of Art History at the School of Arts and Crafts in Valencia. He is the author of the travel book Of trees, clouds and dreams. A pilgrim's walk to Santiago. Co-author of an adaptation of The odyssey. Write also, entre otras, in digital magazines The Colloquium of the dogs and in World Travelers. He has also collaborated in newspapers Levante y The Provinces. As a poet he has published in various collective works. As a photographer he has made a monographic exhibition on Japanese women in the Library of the Donas of Valencia.
Ramon Mayol,, writer, Editor, productor y músico es un polifacético referente y activo promotor cultural de Ibiza, her land, to which he has dedicated the bulk of his creations and productions in its various expressive and artistic aspects.
La Mirada
This book carefully edited, it houses verses and photographs that the author has originally structured, entertaining, with four different parts with poems that illustrate each of the 23 images that appear in the book: Paisajes; Retratos, Six chlorophyll creatures; Seven creatures of blood and one of pure Magic.
The arrangement of the photographs does not invite a curious tour of different points of geography. From Argentine Patagonia with ‘The photographer’, that opens the collection, where you can see the silhouette of a photographer (which could be the author himself) that captures the impressive landscape of what looks like Los Glaciares National Park, up to nara, on the main island of Japan, with 'Cervid', endearing photograph that also illustrates the cover and shows an elderly man who caresses and kisses a sika deer on the neck, typical of the area.
The capacity for this act is limited to 80 people and will respect the rules imposed by the authorities on the occasion of the Covid-19. After the presentation of the book and its signature by the author, attendees will be offered a wine of honor.
